Once your Project is created, you’ll want to add your audio files with music credits, which involves 3 steps:
Uploading a file to your project
Adding metadata about that file
Adding music credits
Uploading a file
File uploads support drag-and-drop functionality. While your file is uploading, don't leave the page. Progress indicators will show you when the upload and processing are complete. Error handling ensures reliable file transfer, even for large submissions.
When you upload a file to a project, our algorithm will analyze the audio, which may take some time. Once processing is complete (indicated by an orange warning), click on the file to continue.
🔉Heads-up: you can only upload one file at a time.
💡Pro tip: If you're uploading a second, third, or subsequent file, go check out "How to manage your versions"
Adding Metadata
Once the processing is complete and you click on the file, you will be redirected to the Metadata tab. This comprehensive section contains crucial information that needs to be carefully filled out and is organized into three distinct categories:
Recording information - Details about the title, version title, genre, parental advisory
Work information - Information about the underlying musical composition, including work title, ISWC and lyrics
File information - Details about the specific audio file, including place and year of fixation of the audio file
It's highly recommended to provide as much detail as possible in each of these categories, being thorough and precise with your entries. This comprehensive metadata is absolutely essential for the label to properly process your submission, manage rights, and prepare your music for distribution across various platforms. Incomplete or inaccurate metadata can significantly delay the release process and potentially affect royalty distributions.
Adding Contributors
Under the Contributor tab, you can add everyone who participated in creating this audio file. You can invite contributors, assign specific roles and instruments, and add contributor details. Contributors will receive notifications about project updates and can access the project. To add a Contributor:

If they are in our database, you can select them. If not, we will invite them for you. Simply provide their name, email, and nationality.
Once a Contributor is added, you can add/edit their:
Names
Nationality
IPI
ISNI
Music rights organizations (CMOs)
Roles
Instruments
Work ownership shares if they are credited as Composer, Lyricist or Songwriter
Providing a complete list of Contributors is absolutely essential for ensuring all creative participants receive proper acknowledgment for their artistic contributions. Comprehensive contributor information not only facilitates appropriate recognition in credits and promotional materials but also plays a crucial role in the proper distribution of royalties through various collection societies and rights management organizations. Without accurate contributor data, artists, musicians, producers, and other creative professionals may miss out on both the professional recognition and financial compensation they rightfully deserve for their work.
